For this whole week my mother and I have been shopping for wedding dresses and it is definitely BITTERSWEET. Alot of the dresses I tried on were pretty but didn't strike my fire at all. This one lady tried to scare me into buying the dress right then and there, I ended up biting my tongue from laughing at her because the likely hood of it being bought in 72 hours was slim. Finally we went to Davids Bridal (I never make appointments) they were not happy that I wouldn't make appointments and that I would just waltz in and try on dresses.
The consultant at Davids Bridal was wonderful. I found 2 dresses that I found very striking. So I gathered the family gang: Gma Rosie, Auntie Mariah, Auntie Heidi, Mckenna, my mum and dad. We were there this morning looking at the finalists and grabbing a few new ones which lasted around 2 hours. After that we found the dress! :D It is so pretty! I feel beautiful and queenly in it. I get to pick it up on January 7th. They said they would clean, steam, and repair anything during that time period. Wooohoo! I didn't think I would find the dress so fast but I did!
Heidi and Mckenna along with Mariah had fun ripping up the racks of dresses and oooogling over prom dresses for Mckenna. She has gotten so big. It was fun! :)

I would just like to say that I think its totally lame that the groom cant see the dress before the wedding. Bad karma to see the dress before the wedding? Lets not get into how many ladders Ive walked under... lol.
I'm so happy for you, Jessica! It's kinda crazy to think that you're getting married within a few weeks. But it's obvious that you're excited just from your blog posts! Good luck during the last little bits of preparation.
