About Me

My photo
We met May 22, 2010 and enjoy going through life together even on the bad days because they make the best ones even better! We enjoy cake and going on walks. Contradictory, we know. We ride horses, play chess, and try to make room for homework.

Books

"The ability to read awoke inside me some long dormant craving to be mentally alive."
- Autobiography of Malcolm X, 1964

?What are your thoughts on reading?

I agree. My thoughts on this quote is that reading can teach, remind, refocus, and amuse all at once in the form of ink on paper.

I would like everyone to comment and add in their two cents please so I can see what other people think.

When I read I become the character. I travel on some weird air way and separate from myself and become someone else. I learn, I weep, I am brave. Can you imagine a world without books? They indeed teach, inspire, amuse. I love all kinds of books. fiction, non fiction, historical, biographies and autobiographies, war, I'm a little obsessed with women overcoming obstacles. I think I have a secret inner self that wants something more. Something terribly exciting, exhilarating, adventurous. Through books I can go anywhere, be anyone. Reading fills me up with joy. I read therefore I soar.

Reading used to be fun - until school made it mandatory. I'm glad there's people like you who love books enough to become English majors :D
