Isn't this the most positive posting?! :) I have been hesitant about reading this book for about a month. I have seen it on the best seller list for a while, but I didn't want to learn why a person would commit suicide.
My parents gave it to me for Christmas! :D lol
But I am glad I got it because it teaches you a lesson. Its not a dark and dreary "woe is me because my life sucks and I am pathetic so I slit my wrists"- Emo quote. Its rather opening your eyes to how the actions of others and the character's own problems collide creating a mess and sometimes depending on who it their will to push through it.
Even in the book it discusses the signs and options besides suicide in a serious manner without making it immature. There are two narrators in the book; which is my favorite tweak the author did in the book. The author is narrating the main character while the main character is given a narrator of another character. Sounds trixy but is wonderful.
This book is addictive as a razor is to Emo's. Definitely check this out if you want time to fly by while at the airport or in the DMV.
