About Me

My photo
We met May 22, 2010 and enjoy going through life together even on the bad days because they make the best ones even better! We enjoy cake and going on walks. Contradictory, we know. We ride horses, play chess, and try to make room for homework.

R Mountain

Well we left to hike this hill that they call a mountain here. Its obviously called R mountain. We wanted to catch the sunrise so we left at 3:20 am because we were misled as to what time the sun rises. We started out with 10 people the night before and ended up with only 5 of us. It was my two roommates Cierra, Kaitlyn, our FHE bro Paul and my friend Justin and I. We got in my car cause Cierra didn't really want to take hers. We got there and it was still pretty dark but luckily the moon and stars were out to give us some light. We also decided to go without a flashlight to make things more "fun". Anyways the hill is straight up and its pretty steep. Needless to say I went down off to the side of the trail to get up some slippery rocks and grabbed a rock to push myself up. But it was not a rock, instead it was a prickly bush with lots of tiny little thorns. Justin luckily kept his flashlight and we pulled some bigger thorns out. At the top we would take out the rest of the tiny ones. Cierra had the lead for most of the time up which I didn't mind. Paul told us to leave him behind but I do not do MIA. So we took a couple breaks which was nice. We got to the top in no time and we waited for the sun to rise. But we didn't take the right trail towards the end so we were on the wrong side of the hill to actually see the sun rise. Justin opted that we run then I explained to him I do not run. And cierra and Kaitlyn were done hiking and just complained all morning. Paul, Justin, and I had no pity on them because they put themselves in the predicament for waiting for the sunrise. They also had more clothes on than us and we were just fine. So we watched the sun rise but it was more of we watched the sky change colors. Hahahaha. We also successfully got all those little thorns out of left hand which was nice because they hurt on the rest of the way up the hill. FYI can I say, my completely ungraceful and clumsy side came out on this hike?! Justin was just having the time of his life watching me almost biff it a million times. It was funny but I wish he did not see that. Paul was glad for the hike down which I do not blame him since he had a rough time getting up but still got to the top in the end. I will post pics up once I get copies from my roomie.
