About Me

My photo
We met May 22, 2010 and enjoy going through life together even on the bad days because they make the best ones even better! We enjoy cake and going on walks. Contradictory, we know. We ride horses, play chess, and try to make room for homework.

Realization

I was walking with my roommates and the EFY kids were going up the stairs while we were going down. There was only 3 of us but there were more than 7 of them so they took up the whole width of the stairs except we forced some to step behind someone else. The conversation of how the EFY kids take up so much space and make things more crowded came up. As they talked I had the question "why is it that people normally walk side by side and never behind or in front when you are in a group or having a discussion with someone?" Alot of the reasons are vvery apparent. 1 Body Language is vital in our language and facial expressions. You can't decipher what they exactly mean by what they say when you are walking behind or in front. 2 Inequalityor inadequacy. When three people are walking together and one person is behind the other two. The third will not chime into the conversation as much as the other two. Because they feel secluded subconciously. We may not always realize it when we feel it because we rush up next to them to fix the problem. 3 Projection, a person's voice varies with every person. Some people like me are easily heard but others have a soft or lower tone of voice. If the person is behind or in front of you, you may not hear them very well. I just thought I would share my little enlightment. Since I haven't posted in a while. :D
