Sugar or Spice? Why be nice?

As a result of having no social life whatsoever I have made it my goal to do fun things and go to social activities on the weekend. Well until recently I didn't care much for it. Last night my neighbor Sara and I went to game night at Rigby hall. We arrived and there are a few people and then this guy comes in with a whole bin of games. More people arrive and we pick to do a social game. But these two other guys wanted to play "Catan." It is a board game and i joined them becuase I didn't want to play the game psychiatrist. They taught me the rules as we went through the game. They were not really much help because they were both completly focused on winning. I lost :/ but I never played before and I was not happy that I lost. I wanted to get mad but then I remembered my mom wanted me to try and experiment with boys. That I be not so competitive and give them compliments. I was nice but I didn't give compliments. Then we played "Mafia" I was townspeople the whole time except for once and he forgot about my role. These guys were total nerds we used qoutes form star wars, star trek, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. Lmbo I love nerds!! They were nice though and very funny. Then this morning I went to join the group that was learning how to canoe. But when I got there they were all in bathing suits and shorts. I didn't know that you needed to be dressed like that because they didn't specify. And my person that invited didn't show up. But as I was going there I ran into Shay. He is in my writing class and is obsessed with basketball. So when I saw him all suited up for a basket ball game I laughed. He invited me to play with him, but I was going to the meeting place for canoeing. So I politely declined saying I sucked at basketball and maybe another time. Then after I found out the sad news about canoeing I went to find shay at the gym to play basketball. I finally found him after checking all the courts! (many courts fyi) So I suited up and went and showed off my non basketball skills. While he and his friends showed off their amazing skills. They didn't incoporate me much only shay, and this other guy would pass the ball to me. (because I am female and I might have cooties! sexist!) I never made a hoop but I stole the ball and passed it off to my team. And I played for around 2 hours so my face was bright red and after that I said I was done and left. He said "Another time then?" What does that mean?!!! is that a invitation or a, "too bad see ya later?"! I understand guys but he talks funny. He doesn't say things straight out ugh! I don't speak code! :O I was nice though and I was not aggressive during the game so I rewarded myself by getting apple juice! :D Koodo's
